Ashley Benusa

 

Ashley Benusa is a primary school performing arts teacher at the Canadian International School of Hong Kong. The daughter of two music educators, Ashley learned at a very early age the value that a community of music making can bring. She is extremely thankful for the opportunity to serve in a project creating exchanges between the community of Dzodze, Ghana with the rest of the world. A long-time supporter of Nunya Music Academy and the work of Kofi Gbolonyo, Ashley serves as the project manager for international courses and the coordinator of communication. 

Ashley is originally from Norwalk, Connecticut, USA, she has been a primary school arts educator in international schools in Asia for over 10 years, teaching in Hong Kong, China and Thailand. She completed her Bachelor of Music Education degree (Hons) at Valparaiso University in Indiana, USA and her Master of Music in Music Education from Boston University where she specialized in multicultural music education in international schools. An educator passionate about performance, Ashley is also a cellist who regularly engages in music making with various ensembles around Hong Kong.
