The 16-Day Course Program (with additional 5 Optional days) offers:
Daily classes in Orff Afrique (Orff-Schulwerk and indigenous Ghanaian/West African pedagogy); West African/Ghanaian traditional and contemporary children games and vocal music/songs; traditional drumming, dancing, xylophone, & storytelling.
Ewe traditional welcome ceremony by the chiefs and elders.
Distinguished lectures on music education, ethnomusicology & dance ethnology in Ghana; West African rhythm, choral/vocal music, and Ghanaian culture (belief systems, history, languages).
Special performances of traditional music and dance (children, adults, amateur and professional groups),
Special lecture-demonstrations on Ghanaian-Ewe kente weaving, traditional food processing, their histories and cultural significance.
Field Trips to nearby traditional villages, traditional/cultural ceremonies, and sights of interest
NunyaFest: A Nunya Academy organized and led children and youth music and dance festivals.
Traditional cooking classes
Visit to local market on market days
Interactions and performances with students from Nunya Music Academy and local artists.
